Getting Runescape Working?

Hi lancerlotte

You have recently submitted a bug report regarding disconnections whilst trying to take part in activity within your clan citadel. I have also read your thread and understand the lengths you have gone to in trying to resolve this for yourself.

I have investigated this for you and believe that this all ties in with the issues that many players are currently facing.

We have a known problem at the moment with Java/FPS which ties in with both your FPS issues and the Client token errors.

This also matches up with the issue of being unable to world hop without disconnection.

As I read through your thread and took note of the solutions and steps you have already taken, it became clear to me that you have been heavily affected by the problems.

I really admire your determination to overcome this.

I hope that the next round of updates that we perform help you to resolve this.

One thing you can do in the mean time, is delete the Jagex "LIVE" folder.

Computer > C Drive > Users > YOUR NAME > jagexcache > runescape > LIVE

This may help. If not then you may experience this issue for a little while longer - though I hope that is not the case!!

Some players are experiencing game crashes while the map updates in a new area.

This is a known issue and a fix is being worked on. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Many players are having trouble logging in or are being removed from the game seconds after logging in. We are working to produce a solution to this as quickly as possible. We're very sorry for any upset caused.

Items not appearing below gravestones. A fix is being worked on but this can be corrected by re-logging, the items will then be visible.

Just wish they would hurry the fk up with their fixes. Their incompetence is damaging our clan!!! No form of compensation to be expected. I am relying on every GKM to keep the clan running smoothly during these complications. Thank you for your stepped-up efforts. GKSC should be back to normal once Jagex finally get round to fixing Runescape. I appreciate they have a load of other games to maintain, BUT DON'T FORGET WHERE IT ALL GREW FROM!

Top End Clan Ranks have had to be re-organised to to these wonderful recent updates on Runescape.

Generals are no-longer GKEs, they are now GKE Candidates. (think of it as Leader on trial/in training).

Top end ranks now look like this:

General (Gold Star) - GKE Candidate

Admin+ (Bronze Cross+) - GKECoordinator (Star Burst) - GKEC Candidate. Ignore this member at your own risk.

Coordinator+ (Star Burst+) - GKEC Candidate. Ignore this member at your own risk.

Overseer (Bronze Key) - GKEC Candidate. Ignore this member at your own risk.
Deputy Owner (Silver Key) - GKEC - Full authority as a collective.

I hope this doesn't cause too much confusion amongst GKSC.

Like everything else, you will adjust in time.

Dear Lancerlotte,

Thank you for your message.

The first step that I would advise for you to take is to re-run the auto setup for your graphical options whilst in the lobby stage.

If this does not solve the issue, then please try selecting a different display mode from the graphical options before attempting to enter game.

One way to get around this issue is to try different worlds. You should be able to find one that will let you log in.

It may also be beneficial for you to clear your Jagex cache. To guide you through this, here are step by step instructions:

1. Go to Start > Computer > Local Disk ( C: ) or your primary hard drive.
2. Locate the folder named “.jagex_cache_32” and/or “.jagex_cache_33”.
3. Delete these folders.
4. Restart your Internet Browser (e.g. Internet explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc).
5. Load RuneScape and continue playing.

Using the RuneScape Client may also be a good idea. To get the client follow these steps:

1. Visit http://www.RuneScape.com
2. Hover your mouse pointer over 'Community'
3. Select 'Downloads and Wallpapers' from the drop down menu
4. Download the RuneScape Client from this new page, ensuring you select the correct download for your appropriate operating system.

It is important that you completely remove any current version of the client that you have installed before replacing it, as not doing so may cause errors.

On a Sub-Note ~

If the Runescape Game Client doesn't work for you. E.g. You get a message saying "Unable to verify BrowserControl." I think this (and similar issues) will be resolved when the new Runescape Site is released.

"For those of you experiencing the issue when you download the new 1.2 you still get version 1.1, this is because of a web proxy between you and us. Normally we would fix this by changing the link to download the client, HOWEVER, because of the pending website re-write next week we unfortunately cannot update the link at the moment. When the website update goes live next week this problem will be solved. In the meantime, you can attempt to download the client on a different connection which should solve the problem. Apologies for the inconvenience. "

It has pandora radio app it will allow users to listen to pandora even if there on runescape with out the big waste of cpu usage for another tab.

it has a xat chat box that we can chat to anyone who is in the chat...

It has a popout youtube page...

It also has a time ticker pop out menu displaying the time in london, which is the time GKSC is operated by.

There are settings to add and subtract more apps if others want to personalize it .

It is made with conduit, a well trusted toolbar making site.

It works on Windows, Mac, Linux operating systems.

It works on IE, FireFox, safari, and google chome(in beta testing).

It is aproved by TRUSTe, a website known for checking if something is virus free.

PS: most of the aps have a minimize that goes back to the toolbar that way your still grabbing info and an exit button with stops that program "

Talented CSS / HTML writer (I'm ok but GKSC needs the best)

A Digital Artist (who can create our own high quality images istead of borrowing others)

Talented Image Editor / Video Editor / Audio Editor

There are other positions available, just let me know how it helps =)

This team will be the site admin team and will be responsible for putting your media on here, as well as keeping site up to date, working properly, and moderated.

(and hopefully we will be able to keep our page workin and up to date fluidly)

Huge thanks go out to Belgarth for your help with the graphics for our site. Loving the neon blue! Hope everyone else likes it as much. I will eventually organise custom images all over the site, but for now, i'm mostly 'borrowing' images. Needless to say, i have begun updating the gksc site. Any suggestions, please contact me. If there's anything you would like to see added, waste no time in informing me, as soon my attention will be turned to recruiting. Nice 1 Bel.

I would like to happily announce that GKSC is officially ACTIVE again. I have started adjusting bits on the site, and am currently trying to reslove a few issues im having. If you skilled with CSS/HTML codes then please give me a shout so i can get some ideas on my problems. =) TEAMSPEAK 2 - I will sort a secure Channel once it is worth the expense. There are currently not enough GKM's using it for it to be worth the cost atm. SWIFTKIT - I did create 2 Channels on swiftkits IRC client but because the majority of the clan don't bother with it, i have kinda ignored them =S i may get them up and running again at a later point. Would like to remind people....... GKSC OWNS!

GKSC's OWN TeamSpeak Channel?

We have been trying to get GKSC established on TeamSpeak.
There are a handful of members who have downloaded it already, and as a result, we are now looking to create our own personal and private 'channel'.

This service however is going to cost. Gwenold has volunteered to foot the bill for our very own server.

I would again like to ask GKM's to download Teamspeak2 so we can organise more efficiently during clan events, and chat 'hassle free'.
Teamspeak2 is a small and safe download that does not impact on runescape at all.
As this is the first paid for service GKSC will be providing, i hope the interest for it will improve

This will prove an invaluable tool when it comes to fast notification of enemy movements/actions.

Warrior Legends

Warrior Legends is a text game, where your aim is to build cities and raise armys. I have created an alliance on there called Camelot.
Its a pretty boring game to sit there and play, but its great while doing boring stats such as fishing, wcing, mining etc.

Can You ALL Get A Microphone (if you can)

There is a way that we can talk to each other using microphones.

It is secure and private. You hold a keyboard button down to open the microphone to talk.

For security reasons, i will not be posting information on this site, but if im not around, ask buddha, avenger or gooblet ruby for more details.

I will post server information through MSN MESSENGER.

This program works kind of like a cb radio online, but we have our own channel.

The more members that have a microphone, the better it will be =)

We will release Passwords to specific forums only to the GKM's who have rank and reason to have them. You MUST keep these passwords to yourself at all times. It is your messages/information/space we are protecting. Anybody found to be revealing passwords under any circumstances WILL BE REMOVED PERMANENTLY.

The only person allowed to distribute forum passwords is LANCERLOTTE aka me.

If somebody says, 'oh yeah i was told it but i didn't write it down, can you tell me again please'.
YOU SHOULD SAY NO AND REPORT TO A GKE.

Forum Passwords are released only to relevant people, issued only by me.
Please write down forum passwords you have been issued. If you need reminders, ask me, i know who should have what. =)

GrailKnights SC is back and going to be bigger than ever!

Unless notified all posts on this site by LATH will in fact be by me Lancerlotte.
I have assumed full control and responsibilty for GKSC.
As a result of this, i have to update and modify the GKEC.
I will be depending on the GKEC for full help, support and co-opperation. You, the GKEC, are considered to be sub-leaders, holding this position comes with great responsiblities. I trust you are up to the job else you would not have been selected. Any problems, just contact me. =)

There is a new forum page under developement. It is a members only area. A lot of new and updated information is available there, along with running polls, event plans suggestion forums.
A link to this new page will be posted on this site as soon as it is ready. A lot of it will be password protected, anybody found sharing their passwords will be removed instantly =)

I would like to remind all members to ensure they have read and agree to abide by the GK Rules. These can be found by using the 'GK Rules And Layout' Link. Anybody found to be Player Killing (PKing) will be instantly deemed impure and unsuitable for GrailKnights thus leading to dismissal from our community. I have spoken with Lancerlotte about enforcing this in his Clan Chat, and all other GKE's have been informed about the problem of people ignoring the rules. We are a pretty laid back SC but our rules do have a purpose.

Grailknights is for a certain kind of people, if you do not agree with our rules or think that there is no problem with Player Killing, THEN WE DO NOT WANT YOU TO JOIN US.

GK is for people with compassion, honesty, willing, friendliness and loyalty.

I have given Lancerlotte access to the site so applications and notifications can be dealt with twice as efficiently. This is done so that people are not waiting a week for processing.

Due to the rapid increase of the size of Grailknights, we are having to tighten up and enforce the rules more as there are a lot of bad apples creeping in. We hope you the members understand our reasons and can bare with us while we vet all new applicants.

To our existing members, we are not trying to panic you, act as you have been, we are only doing this for your benefit in the long run and only ask your trust in this matter.
